This is the closest I will get to putting a sticker on my guitars. Well maybe that Hula Girl decal for the back of the Charley Strat that I plan on finishing sometime this year. But here is my one and only relic SRV One with the trucker letters that I built a few years back.

Depends on the sticker, I put a very small hexagram hologram in the back of the headstock of my strat, and my luthier did put my nickname by the bridge, but in very small letters, barely percievable with same typography as "stratocaster".

back in the 60's many of us put stickers on guitars. usually they were small, and were on the pickguard. somewhere there's a picture of me with my musicmaster, fancy initials on board...

That is odd.

I've heard people think something's wrong, because the film starts to come off.

On anything I buy that has that film--it comes off pretty quickly.

For me, I wouldn't do that. But I think it's cool for you. Nice.

To clarify, I was speaking of letters/stickers on the pickguard. I'm thinking about adding my monogram. Not unlike SRV. I don't want to be a copy-cat. So it'd be different. Maybe not. I'm just trying to think of a way to personalize my no. one a bit more.

Um... stickers are for motorcycle helmets. For those of you astute enough to notice the scratches... Yes, that was worn in a crash and is now retired. I keep it for memory's sake.

I personally don't do stickers, but that is a freaking work of art right there. I'd sport it in a heartbeat. Looks awesome to me.

I would Never Ever deface Any guitar with a sticker, for starters even if you decide down the road to remove it you'll most likely find that the adhesive reacted with the finish and ruined it.There are companies that now make non-adhesive stickers that stay in place by static electricity if anyone Has to have stickers that's an option that does no harm.I've seen fools ruin vintage guitar finishes with stickers, cutting their value enormously for a juvenile fetish, what a waste for the sake of vanity or "making a statement".If you must have stickers try:>greasygroove.com< I believe they make non damaging stickers and they also make designer pickguards with many different graphics.
