i have posted on this subject before, so i apologize ahead of time.

i have a mim strat i've owned for a few weeks. i want to upgrade to a pearloid pickguard, but keep my same pickups.

my guitars humbuckers are held in place by 2 screws at the top, and 1 at the bottom.i have searched about every website i can find, and their pickguards have 1 mounting hole at the top and bottom.

does any company make an exact replacement? or worst case, do they make one where the 'bucker holes are not drilled out?

any feedback would help

thanks a mill.

the other thing you could do is buy the pick guard you want and drill the extra hole yourself. After all you already have the original as a template. just stack the old pickguard on top of the new one and mark where the hole is suppose to be. piece of cake!

thanks for getting back so fast. i wouldn't mind drilling the extra hole myself, but on the guards drilled with 2 holes, that would leave me with a hole in the middle.

i wouldn't mind a pickguard with no pickup holes drilled. that way i can line them up as you suggested

I would add, send a picture of your existing guard, for clarification, I would be very surprised if that company couldn't accommodate you.

They could make it one if you send in a tracing. However, It would probably be cheaper to just have them leave off the humbucker mounting screw holes and drill them yourself.
