I just came across this and like the looks of it but can't seem to match up the numbers that he gave. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

hi i looked at that auction and said no way. i eamiled the guy for better shots and asked if the body was original. i just got a 60th anniversarry model and it does not look like that. the neck seems to be usa but again i asked to see headstock shot up close. i'd pass imo.

It is an '06 and has a vintage trem, so it should not be too hard to track down. I don't know what model that is. Maybe an MIA '60s RI with a new pickguard?

I asked for some better pictures. I really like it, if it's the real deal. So if it's the 60s then it would have a 7.25" radius, right? I'm still trying to decide if I would like that type neck...

Where can you go to track all the numbers down. Did I miss it on the Fender site? It doesn't help that he has 0 feedback either.

hey man that is a partsocaster. It has an american Series/standard neck, but a different body. It can't be a 60s reissue because the headstock has two american standard style string trees and a truss rod hole. If it were a 60s reissue it would only have one string tree and no headstock hole. Also if it were an American Standard it would have a 2 point bridge this one has a 6 point. Could be a pre-upgrade highway one, but I'm pretty sure they were upgraded in 06 and the serial he lists is for an 06. I'm leaning toward this being a USA standard on a ??? body or a pre-upgrade HWY1. Either way it probably is worth 3-400. I wouldn't pay more though.

Avoid buying it.

No feedback to start with. If you blow up the image the neck plate looks plain. The wear on the back is all on the right leg spot. How would you be able to wear the body like this? (for a 2006 model).

There is not so much as a scratch on the rest of the back. The neck is showing no wear at all. No case.

A good way to feel these guys out is see if they will accept a pickup.

Yet another evil-bay scam. I love how it says "No Returns Accepted".
