 I am trying to find out exactly what model Strat I have. It seems to be a cross between an American Vintage and an American Deluxe. Check out this - Vintage components: serial number is V + 6 numbers, Gotoh/Kluson-type tuners, vintage white in color with aged white plastic knobs and pickups, hardware is gold (including neck plate w/serial number)
Anomolies to being a Vintage model: Modern neck with "Skunk" stripe, 5 position toggle, 22 frets, S-1 switch. The toggle doses not appear to be changed out from a 3 position. All screws are lacking any marks that would indicate parts being changed out. It also came with the vintage brown tolex case. Oh, also has SCN pickups. Can anyone enlighten me?

Sounds like an expensive partscaster to me, although our opinions are worthless if you dont provide us with pictures :)
