Hi Everyone, I have a question about the volume/s1 switch on my 09 mia deluxe stratocaster. After removing my knobs to get the protective plastic film off of my pickguard, i put the knobs back on but, it seems that the switch button on volume knob is recessed a little bit into the knob even when its in the off/up position. the switch is working and everything but, is it suppose to sit flush with the rim of the volume knob when in the off/up position? did i put knob on wrong? thanx in advance for any replies...love my strat!!

If its workin' fine, I wouldn't worry about it. I've seen a few slightly recessed in the off/ up position.

If it's only bothering you and not the sound of your guitar. you could make sure the volume knob is pushed on all the way, otherwise take Dave's advice and just play! 8)

I've got an '08 Amer. Dlx. and the S1 switch sits slightly below the rim of the volume knob. So, no worries.

Hey while im at it fellas, how many of you use the s-1 down/on when playing? i rarely use mine.. cos i love the twang of the pickups...that fender single coil twing..when i switch the s-1 it kinda sounds like im running a humbucker which is great for certian apps but, normally i leave it off. i play clean straghit thru a 65 deluxe reverb reissue i sometimes use a compressor but thats all.

I'm like you, I rarely use it. However, it is nice to use because it is good to throw into a solo or a random bit of a song here and there. But I usually forget I'm playing the guitar that has that function.

I use it on my HSS because it splits the coils and sounds decent enough I don't have to pick up the other strat unless I'm specifically after maximum quack.
