OH MAN, is this getting deep or what! Lincolns? I like.........Toyotas!!!! Can we even have a Toyota verses Lincoln debate!

No....like Ford Motor Corporation.

He prefers Fords over Chevy's more that Fender/Gibson.

You'll get the drift of my writings after time. Comes from dealing with tenths of millimeters on a daily basis. I find the subtle things and run with 'em.

Can anyone tell me what a 2006 Alpine white Les Paul studio with classic 1957 pickup might be worth?

Depends on the finish. White has a tendency to discolor over time, especially where the forearm and palm rests when playing.

LP Studios are around $800 used. Those pickups really don't mean much because there of somewhat of equal value of the stock value.

If its beatup, checked, and discolored; maybe worth $550.

Cracked and repaired headstock, $400 to $450.

Mint condition, $900, no rust, no chips, no cracks. Like it just shipped from Nashville....

Your absolutely right mate, you can see it in the bumper.

And I thought I had a keen eye. I've been looking for one since 98 and yet to find a good clean example. Were going car shopping.

I didn't realize the original question went into an international car debate. How about we go back to the purpose of the forum? Guitars perhaps???

That's an excellent idea. Guitars!. Specifically Stratocaster guitars. What's the point of indulging somebody who goes on the Stratocaster site asking about the value of a Les Paul? Some of my best friends own Gibsons but they're smart enough and considerate enough not to pollute the Stratocaster forum with their nonsense.

opps..thought we were having a wee bit of fun here...... Thought the Gibson LP value and discussion about debate was done in this thread a long time ago!

Absolutely. Some of the best discussion here comes from going off topic. If anyone is that offended by this thread going off topic after the question has been answered. Or questions the validity of the question because its not fender brand specific. They needn't read.

So cmon Xhef, tell us about the MR2. 20i or turbo'd? How do you get a stack in it? I did get a halfstack into a mini once but had to have the head on the passenger seat.

Ok, now I am getting nervous as I might highjack this Gibson LP thread on a Fender Forum and turn it into CarTalk, with Click & Clack, the Tappet Brothers. This is a 93 MR2, with ....ummm..... an automatic tranny, (does have headers), non-turbo (RATS).....it was so clean and i got it on eBay for $3200....with only 52,000 miles on it (that's about 83,685 K). Still fast and fun to drive. Flew out and met the guy at the airport in Rochester and drove it across country back to the NW. For the price it was a great deal....

But regarding stacks....ummm....my Les Paul fits in the truck prefect (getting back on track here) as well as my STRAT (how am I doing?), but as far as getting an amp in the truck (boot for some of you) well forget it. A 1/2 stack in a Mini? As we always say on this forum: Do you have any pictures!!!!

bluesstrattone, you would fit in well with the rest of us rednecks here. Fender Strats and 4x4 trucks...not to mention a few guns......
I guess if anyone doubts our real dedication to Fender guitars, they need to really know us a little and see our OCD we have regarding them!
