Depends on the model - there are 11 and 8 hole models. Check the number of holes if replacing.

The size and the shape are the same. The number of holes and the position of the holes may be different.

I have run into the position thing a few times between MIM and MIA in the past.

It's unfortunate that in this day of CNC machined bodies and necks that are all cut to the same spec that the pick guards could not also be drilled to a common template but that's the situation, like it or not. When you go to an After market pick guard web site many of them will have a dozen different options and sizes and it can be a little daunting sometimes trying to determine which one to order.

Thats why I guess even if you buy them from the fender store here they tell all the models it fits instead of just saying ALL and what years.

Those guys will also custom make pickguards!! The have made a couple for me.
