Just thinking about swapping necks. Has anyone tried to install a SRV 21 fret neck on Am Std Strat body?

I am realy starting to like a fatter necks. Have been playing in the last month with the rented 07 LP Standard with what I believe is a 1959 size neck and I love it. (it has 50's neck sticker on the headstock).

Playing this LP side by side for a longer periods of time I find it more comfortable than c-neck on my Strat and I have larger hands.

Just checked Ebay, SRV necks are around $700 bucks, you could probably find a KWS strat for around the same price. I have an SRV and other Strats and I really don't think its that much bigger, if you really want something thick, look for a '62 Hot Rod neck/guitar, if you can swing the cash, but that's the only one that has ever made stop and think "wow, that's a big neck". What ever you do, have fun looking!

No offense, but if you search a little more on ebay they have one with tuners for 429.00 bin. The usual auction prices are in the mid 350 range without tuners...

I alsos love a big neck. My SG standards neck is nice I would love it on my strat
