MF just posted a pre order of a couple new Fender American Special guitars. They look like they have updated the highway ones again and selling for about the same price.

Actually the Hwy1 sells for $699 and the Special for $799. You get no Nitro finish but 3 texas special. I think I'd still rather get the Hwy1.

They look alot like a Hwy 1 with a poly finish instead of nitro. And since both Nitro and Poly finishes have a poly undercoat, it really comes down to "do you like shiney or non-shiney finish on your Hwy 1".

I don't care for the "vintage" tremolo so I'll stick with my Am Std.
