Post subject: New Member And New American Standard Strat

I'm new here and am now the proud owner of a 2008 American Standard Stratocaster. I have always been an acoustic player and I actually found that playing this Strat through an acoustic amp (Fishman SoloAmp) with some effects (Digitech RP150) sounds awesome. I just add some chorus and delay and get an extremely pleasing sound (even better than acoustic IMO). This Strat is so easy to play I can't believe it, and there are no issues usually associated with acoustic guitars (like feedback for one).

I put a Graph Tech nut on it, set the bridge flush with the top, and did a setup on it myself. I strung it with 10's, set the neck flat, and set the action at 2/32nd's at the 17th fret. I love this guitar...:)

I too am a big fan of maple neck sunbursts. That was the same combination for my first Strat. Welcome and gorgeous guitar!
