Hi guys,

I picked up an ej strat the other day and have been playing it a lot since.
The neck is sticky and I wonder how long that will last. Alos how should I wipe the neck down?

Thanks a lot

My Deluxe V-neck had the same issue due to the tinting.

I used a damp cloth to wipe it, but it will wear off within a few days of playing and at the end will be smooth as butter...

Have fun.

I don't like most finished necks. on this one I would lightly sand it down a little. you may not want to do that since it will probably affect the resale value.

A nitro finish attracts dirt much more then a poly finish. Simply wiping down your neck when it gets sticky takes care of the problem.
