Happy new year with health peace and love to all of you.
So good people in Fender Forum I received my wife's present for xmass.
An Am DLX STRAT FMT HSS TBS!
It looks and plays like a dream and I am very happy for my new Axe!
I just wanted to share a couple of thoughts with you about the factory-line quality check, if I spell it right.
I noticed right away, that the neck pickup was moving freely up and down, (in the screw axis) to the one side only. (Remember that there is no pick-guard in DLX FMT).
I assume that the spring is missing under the pickup, so it is not going to be a big deal to fix that.
But... is it acceptable for Fender's fame and quality, or this is just the cost for bying a guitar from a 'factory line' brand.
I understand that this was a human mistake for the person who assemble the pickup in my guitar, but what about the final quality check, before the guitar departs from the factory?
Any way I am still hapy for my first Fender Strat and I will share photos soon.
Any technical suggestion, how to fix that issue would be fine!

When you think of how many thousands of guitars come out of the factory I dont care if it is a Fender or a Benz there are bound to be a few mishaps. You should just go back to where the wife got it and exchange it. Why start out unhappy or if you are content with getting it fixed under warranty either way it is your call. But dont let it put a damper on a great gift.
