I've got one on my Tele. I suppose the sound would be the same. The piezo pickups on this bridge aren't that great without a good acoustic amp or an acoustic pedal, and the batteries need to be changed(I still have the original 9 volt battery after months tho!) But the bridge has a nice vibe to it, makes it sound like a chunky clean guitar. It sounds very big when plugged in. The great thing about this system rather than just buying an acoustic is that you can use EQ on your amp more affectively. If you turn the bass up you've got a dreadnaught sound, if you bring the bass down, you've got a more folky/traveler guitar type sound, and pair that up with a strat vibrato bridge and you can't lose! :D

Oh, and did I mention you can play without an amp? Yes you can! Just plug in some nice loud headphones and you can hear a nice clean guitar whenever you want!
