i use 9 - 46 strings - usually d'addario or fender bullets (fender strings aren't very easy to find where I am) and definately won't use ernie balls.

I find ernie balls to bright, too slinky and they always take a lot longer to settle in, not to mention they don't stay in tune very well with whammy use. For whatever reason, I don't have any of these problems with d'addarios and fenders - they seem to stay in tune very well and don't feel too bright out of the box.

I miss my DR´s.......My guess is Daddarios, .10 can be a good repacement, since the 09´s r super soft!.

Has anyone tried blue steels?, those .10 were uncomfortable as hell, could not stand them! They had 2 go immediately!.......
