So here is my dilemma. I currently have a US 62 Reissue strat that I love. I want to get another guitar that is a tad more aggressive for some of the faster louder stuff I like to play. I want to get a neck close to what the 62 reissue is and I would also like to have it have no trem as I would not be using it for that stuff. It seems that the Robert Cray may fit the bill although I am unable to tell by the specs how close to a 62 neck the Cray is. While I want the pickups to be more aggressive I am not a fan of humbuckers in a strat. There just seems something wrong with it. Are the Robert Cray pickups at all more powerful than standard strat pickups? It says they are specific to this model only. What is the most aggressive current Fender pickup? Would I be better off just getting the Cray and replacing the pickups or is there a better model for me? The vintage hot rod seems like it would be good but it is on the high end of what I would want to spend and I also think it has a flatter neck radius.

Wow this is alot of questions.

Why don't you just turn it up to 10 and play louder? :D :)

it seems to have a vintage 60's neck, without the truss rod adjustment at the headstock, i know your looking specifically for 62's neck, if you live in a big city maybe you can go to a samash,or guitarcenter to try one out with the amp that you own or want.

what are the specs on a 62's neck?
