Hi I recently bought a st71 japanese yngwie signature just before christmas
O020796 st71 140yjm.

it is second hand and i am very pleased with it. only thing is when i screw in the trem arm it catches on the body and the knobs.

I am thinking the arm is bent or is not the actual proper arm. is this a possibility.

update...as I was typing this out I gave it a bit of a bend while it was screwed in and it clears them now, it did catch on the tone knob and the bottm right of the body but now it clears it, i was a bit worried as this is my most expensive electric guitar I have bought , i am guessing someone put the guitar in the case with the trem attached and bent it down.

I love this guitar I am a big yngwie fan and owning this has made me become a better guitarist as i am taking it really seriously now and am seeing results from my learning.

my setup is the strat I I am assuming the o020696 is a st71 140 as it was written on some tape in the case. it goes into a yjm 308 dod pedal and a boss ns2 into a marshall avt20x amp. I love this guitar.
happy new year, would be pleased to hear any more info you may have on my guitar, thanks ...paul

If I were you, I'd go find a Callaham (or any other maker of SS trem parts), stainless steel bar to replace yours with if you use it very much at all. The fact that it bent back means it could snap off in the block (they usually break where you can't get a bite with pliers to back the broken end out). Stainless won't snap off like the mild steel used to make your bar.
