Fenders are nice vox is even better if you want a tube amp.
Marshall is the way to go if you do'nt want a tube amp. :D
Marshall builds some of the greatest tube amps around.
 No afense but marshall tube amps are prety expensive.thats why I sugest VOX
The original post says nothing about price.
Marshall tube combo's cost as much as a Fender Deville or a real
Vox AC30.
Playing guitar for more then 30 years i have some knowledge about guitars
and amplifiers. I'm here because guitars are my passion and not to start
wars. Act in a decent manor and i'll do the same.

First and foremost, always go with a nice Marshall Head and Cabinet if you got the bills. But if you dont then a nice Fender amp of your choice would work just fine too.

If price isnt a concern, i would look at a Dr. Z, or a Mesa Boogie Express 5:25. The mesa's are switchable between 5 and 25 watts and sound Amazing. I am not a huge fan of mesa becuae of what music i like to play, but this little amp florred me. simply amazing. Also the Fender Deluxe ri is a great choice. It is lower watt some where around 30 i think, and you can get that big overdriven sound, with out makein your ears bleed. The vox ac30 is a great amp as will. It is somthing i want to add to my collection some time. THe china versions vox is making sound pretty good. I am a fan of that jangly clean sound, like i am of the fender twin. The twin is so sparlky jsut makes a strat sing and a tele twang so well.

Also i use a 60's supro it a 30 watt tube head. if you look around at pawnn shops and on craigs list etc. you can find those old supro's and silver tones reasonable cheap, and with a little tlc they make wonderful amp. My is all origional down to the tubes, you can see it in the post your rig post. Well i hope that helps

I just sold my Blues DeVille 212, which I absolutely loved. It sounded A LOT better than the Hot Rod series. I sold the amp b/c I had the opportunity to buy a Mesa Boogie Maverick 410. This thing is butter! They're not made any more, but you can find them on Craigslist. It is driven by EL84's like a Vox, but has 4 10" Jensiens, like a Bassman. It's infinitely tweakable, and kind of sounds like what would happen if a Bassman and a AC30 had a illegitimate child which was then raised by a Marshall JTM 45. Butter. The clean channel sparkles, the lead channel is thick and chunky, you can definitely get a Roryish grind out of either channel. Check it out- used, they usually cost a VERY REASONABLE ~$800+

I think the Fender superchamp looks and sounds cool... depends on what you want... a Marshall stack would be cool too!

I find I get a great Stevie Ray Vaughan blues tone by using:
FENDER STRATOCASTER or TELECASTER through a:
BOSS VH1 WAH PEDAL through a:
FENDER FRONTMAN 25 WATT AMP; GAIN 4; TREBLE 3; MIDDLE 10; BASS 2; REVERB 0.

Try it out and see if it works for you.

I'd suggest a Line 6 tube. They have plenty of channels including blues. Also if you don't get that the blues driver gives a nice blues sound.
