Thats all, its just that it seems impossible that it was 6 years ago that my lovely wife bought me what has turned out to be the best chunk-o-wood I have ever played on.

Last night at the party (about 50 people in my house) I am playing some acoustic stuff with some friends and a buddy asks me to crank up my new 65 deluxe reverb RI, well I open the case on my strat (the 50th) and you could hear a gasp go out over the whole house.

Yep she looks that good !!!

2014 and she will be ten years old, thats seems just crazy to me.

Bondsman.

Heres something you may find interesting.

Yes thats a buy it now of $4039. I think people are expecting them to seriously rise. If that sells for that much mines hitting the bay too.

Its not a one off either, theres was another, VML EasyMute Trem modded for £1800/$2908. Now sold as far as I know.

Hopefully I can offload mine and make a few quid soon.

Not a very realistic price

they sell for much less tham they are worth.

the L/E AMSE sell for around $1000.00 US dollars with the 50th case and all

I imagine when they hit ten years old they will increase a bit

Hey rayo

Post us a picture my friend, I love to see the 50th ann strats.

some of the nicest ash bodies you'll likely see.

Still sorry fender put the same 50th neck plate on all strats that year, it makes it easy for someone to get confused about waht is and isnt a speacial 50th Strat.

Hey Blues,

I'm still struggling trying to post a pic here. When I get a few minutes I will do a search to see how.

Hey rayo

Nice !!! Looks like you have the deluxe, I think I see gold hardware.

I had both the deluxe and the AMSE, Kept the AMSE and sold the deluxe.

I just loved the vintage tone of the amse, the deluxe has a great range of tones too, just wanted a more vintage sounding and looking guitar.

I should have kept them both !!!

I'll bet I have bought and sold 20 guitars since 2004 looking for a sound and I go back to the 50th every time, you just can't beat the sound of the custom shop 54's and the combination of an ash body and a maple neck and then the 50th mojo too (whatever that is).

You cannot make a comment like that and not post a picture. That borders on criminal.

I am also a lucky guy. I purchased the 50th anniversary American and the Delulxe new in 04! The American is ash, the deluxe is alder and they are both lookers. They are two of my favorites along with one of my vintage Strat Pluses!
