The link for the photo is not working. I'm curious. The "E" serial numbers were on a lot of the HM Strats, which were made in Japan but "possibly" had USA parts. This was after the sale but before the new factory.

Anyway, since the thread said Teal Green, HM's came in Teal. It was a solid color. HM's came a variety of configurations but the most noticeable being the Black Headstock with the script Strat across. It had a Kahler Spyder trem. Most of them had a Dimarzio Super Distortion Humbucker that was coil split. They sound pretty good too. (For heavy stuff and lead) I have about 15 of these HM's that I've purchased over the years and probably have 4 of them in Teal. I'm thinking this is not what you are looking for, but the Teal Green sparked my interest. One of the Teal's I have came in a Squier case. Most are Rosewood necks. If there is a way to get the photo up, that would be a help.

That would be a crazy story if what you were looking for showed up.

A few things about the guitar. It says "Made in USA" on the head stock. It is more of a metallic teal green, maple neck and head-stock, no trem really, just a standard nut. Ummm yeah...

The guy that originally sold it for me is actually in jail and I am unable to get a hold of him. After I started thinking about it I decided that this particular guitar wasn't in perfect condition and I could find something better.

I've concluded that my old guitar was either an 84-85 or 87-88 model.

So, I went on the hunt for another US strat from that era and came up with a 1988 57' Reissue Fender Stratocaster. It has a maple neck, maple head-stock, Two tone knobs, One volume knob, Sea Foam Green, original tweed case, all the case candy in perfect condition, and the guitar is 99% perfect. The only damage is on the headstock just past the nut where someone apparently placed a cigarette and allowed it to burn down and scorch the headstock slightly. The frets are in great shape, neck is straight, paint is spotless, and even the pick guard looks brand new.
