Hey all, i'm hoping to get some opinions regarding the hipshot trem setter. Likes? dislikes? thumbs up or down for an American Strat. Or maybe the entire hipshot trem? Anyone use a hipshot trem setter together with the hipshot trem? Thanks!

I have one in my Strat Plus. It never caused me any issues with holding tune, but then I never use the trem bar.

I've used them on various occasions. Nice idea, but I've seen them hang a bit, not always go back in tune, make the trem more stiff, etc. If you're looking to make your Fender trem act like a double locking Floyd or Kahler for dive bombs, you won't be happy.

If you want a little more stability at the expense of a stiffer arm, you might like it. Myself, I have no interest. If I want to be crazy and play dive-bomb metal music, I'll use my metal guitar with the Kahler. For my strat, I never really want to do that stuff on it anyway.
