Sorry for the Newbie question ...first day and post on the forum......someone local in town has an American Strat for sale and I would like to get as much info from the serial# as I can get..............The serial # Z3023050........and is stamped on the back of the headstock............from the charts I have read it seems to be a 2003 American standard strat built in Corona,Ca............the serial # charts are very confusing ,so could someone verify this info or point me to a place to get the best and simple (idiot proof) way of confirming this info......since this is for sale locally time is of this escence ..............any and all iput is greatly appriciated !!...Thanks Guys

Thank you FHopkins for your reply.....it did confirm it to be a 2003-04 strat made in Corona ,Ca.........is there anywhere else to get a bit more detail as far as which series it was and pickups installed. Thanks again

"Z"-prefix serial numbers denoting the new millennium appeared on U.S.-made instruments in 2000. Z0 denotes 2000; Z1 denotes 2001, etc. American Deluxe Series instruments use the same dating convention, but with the addition of a "D" in front of the "Z", i.e., DZ1, DZ2, etc. As always, there is typically some number prefix overlap and carryover from year to year.
