Hey guys. I just want to warn you from a vintage guitars and parts dealer under the name of vintage guitars and parts inc ( his name is Shai Ashkenazi from Sherman Oaks, California, USA). This dealer sold me a 74' strat pup set, and when i received it i discovered that the bridge pup is dead. instead of taking responsibility on the issue, he tried to blame me. At the end, my friends, I paid almost 700$ for a damaged set of pups. I don't think that this is the dealer that you want to deal with. Just want you to be careful from this dealer.

If you paid through Pay Pal or Credit Card you may have a chance of getting your money back, also you should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.I don't know about the US but in Canada there's an Integrity in Mail Order Organization that helps resolve problems like yours.

I Googled: vintage guitars and parts inc. Sherman Oaks, California
and found a few references to this thread and some companies with Vintage Guitar and Vintage Parts in the company name but nothing called Vintage Guitars and Parts Inc. in Sherman Oaks, California.
I did find Vintage Guitar & Amps in Sherman Oaks.

http://www.californiavintageguitarandamp.com/Fender_Main.htm

I also find this same guy posting around the net spreading the same caution but he doesn't have any post history at any of the sites. Could be something personal and this guy is trying to take a pot shot? I dunno.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Thread should be called "warning about a dealer"
Or "how to be sued for slander"

The Stew-Mac guys should be able to fix the pickup. Try asking them if you can't find someone else.
