Is this the only thing you have to say. You have posted this 12 times already. We get it

Technically, he's probably spamming us, getting us to go to his website.

That's my bet at any rate. And it should be reported.

I'm at work right now; our firewall blocked his site as a "hacker" site. Just an FYI.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a close family member is always difficult. As mentioned before this does appear to be a 1997-1998 Fender Standard made in America. I would imagine that it would go for about $800-$925.

It appears that the link that Obieone1 kept posting doesn't work. Here is a site with a pretty complete Fender serial number list and dating guide.

http://www.guitarrepairbench.com/guitar-dating/fender-serial-number.html

It also goes through some of the history of the company and the reasons why specific serial numbers were chosen.

.....and what a convoluted series of stops and starts that is. They never threw anything away..e.g...a '90 production model could have an '89 serial number on the neck. Nor did they apply these in numerical/chronological order:?

Your best source is to send the serial number and the pic to Fender Customer Service. They'll know exactly what kind of strat you have if someone hasn't mentioned this already.
