Can anyone point me to a source for a gold neck plate for a contour heel strat? I have all the other gold parts necessary for a conversion but can not find this plate I have e mailed several large Fender parts dealers and all state that they have not been able to obtain them for sometime.I have missed 2 on ebay over a period of 3 months and the only aftermarket ones that "appear" to be correct have a wonky screw spacing.
I am thinking of having a chrome plate converted to gold by one if the local automotive detailers that golds out emblems on cars,anyone ever try this and if so what was your outcome.Thanks,Craig
