KC didn't like Strats. He preferred Mustangs and Jaguars. There was a Model concocted by Fender called a Jag-Stang, if I recall correctly, which he didn't like.

Yeah, I know he preferred Mustangs and Jaguars but he played some strats too.
I wanted to know what was the name/type of strats he used.
He designed the Jag-stang but he rarely played it.

The jag-stang came late in his life. Fender actually finished a red one for him that never got played.

He did play a black strat w/ white pickguard at the 92 Reading concert and in 88-89 he played a Mosrite Gospel.

Besides that, I dont know much. :)

I hate to sound obvious, but he has a left-handed model which is a limited model and probably custom made with a HSS arrangement. He destroyed it.

The humbucker looks different, so I would venture that it is not a Fender version. I suspect Seymour Duncan.

Yup, that one.

Do you know how it's called (name/type) or how can I make one equal?

It's either japanese left handed model, probably from the eighties with a humbucker butchered in the bridge (installed poorly)- it's really nothing special.

Why not a Jaguar or Jazzmaster HH? or even the mustang will give you a more authentic sound, but Its distotion saturation which will do it more. I used to have a DOD Grunge pedal and it worked well :)

It's from 89-90 and the humbucker is a JB I think. You're right I'll pick a mustang or a jaguar. I just wanted that guitar to sound like him and that seemed a cheap model... and it's cute and it's from Kurt Cobain lol

I have a Fender Stratocaster Highway 1 HSS, a Fender Cyber-champ, a Boss DS-2, a Crybaby and of course, an acoustic guitar. I'm kind of a begginer (I began to play 6 months ago) so I don't know if I made the right choices. Do you think my gear is good?

Your gear is great, but remember its not your gear that makes you good- its what you can do with it. If it makes you happy & brings you satisfaction when you play then thats it really- good motivation comes with playing gear you like :)

I learnt in the 90's and I still am and allways will be.. the days when beginners played on korean and chinese rubbish called samick, vester etc... and I still loved to play it loud. Mainly because it annoyed people.

Remember, loike all musicians amatuer or pro- you are always your own worst critic at the best of times :)
