Hi There,

I just got the new Texas Lonestar Deluxe Strat and I love the sound and the way it plays however the action is very high for the most part due to the vintage (Synced) bridge. I tried adjusting the springs in back but without lockin tuning the bridge symply rides up until it is fully extended up and then the guitar tunes but by that point the action becomes very high. Is there a trick to relaxing the bridge into the saddle so the action is lower or how do you lower the action?

Thanks
Mark

I'm not sure what you mean, but when you say you're adjusting the springs, are you adjusting the springs in bak of the guitar? In the part that looks like this?

i had the exact same problem when i bought mine, first thing to do, i took off the three springs and instead of having them slanted the way fender puts them on, i put them all on so they were parallel. Second thing is take off the back cover, and tighten the screws where the ground wire is attached so there is more tension on the bridge, that was the main thing for me, and put some 10's on the guitar. all those fixed my guitar, and now i love it! :D

Thanks guys,

I have adjusted the springs slightly under the cover on the back but I am thinking that I just need to keep adjusting them until the tension is tighter.

Marklo2, Welcome to the forum.

Firstly...what sort of tremelo set up do you want to use.

Floating trem "Whammy Bar use", or a fixed Trem to the body "No Whammy Bar Use".
