Was the 98 Strat 62 RI Rosewood neck unfinished, nitro finished, any kind of finish. ( shiny or dull ) ?

I own a 1984 - 62 reissue. The rosewood neck has always been just oiled. No shiny finish.

The fretboard doesn't have any finish on it. The back of the neck should be finished in a nitrocellulose laquer finish.
