Hi again everyone, i have a question about just what the term fender plus means in detail, since i just discovered the thread about fender plus guitars. I'm asking this, due to the fact that i recently bought a 1997 American Strat used, and it came in a case with a silver logo on it saying fender plus. please see pics below. I thought i had a regular American standard Strat until i saw this logo on the case, so now i'm not sure what i have, or if i have a case from a Strat plus guitar and a regular standard strat? i've included some pics of the guitar for someone's appraisal, thanks a lot, for any advice! :)

You have a regular Fender American Standard in a Plus Case.

The Strat Plus has Lace Sensor pickups, Locking Tuners and a rollernut. It also has a TBX control, but I know some aemrican standards had them as well, so yours might have a TBX control.

Here's what I found for ya:

The Fender Strat Plus was manufactured from 1987 - 1999. It is a high end model in 3 variants: Strat Plus, Strat Plus Deluxe, and Strat Ultra.

The link above has a bunch of good info. Let me know if it helps you.

The guitar looks really clean! Does your Plus case have the big buckle latches? Weird this guitar would be in that case.

What is the first letter and digit of the serial number? The color is Inca Silver.

If you want to know more about the Strat Plus Series, if you have an interest, see:

The Strat Plus has upgrades that Standards do not:

Locking Tuners (Sperzel or Schallers - depending on year)
Lace Sensor pickups (red, blue or gold - depending on year and model)
Roller nut (Wilkinson or LSR - depending on year)
Hipshot tremsetter (1990 and later)
Magnesium bridge
