I prefer rosewood myself, maple tends to get nasty looking once worn and I hate that.

I have an ebony board on my ultra, it's hardwearing and it has a more bright tone to it- if I had my way Id actually have ebony- but its rare on fender guitars and is rather expensive

I got a maple because I liked the feel and because I felt that it also signified a Strat more than Rosewood. That said I also decided to get a HSS model which will get you hung by some Strat purists so 1 out of 2 isnt bad right? :D

I have both. I have long been a big fan of Rosewood, however the Maple one I have is excellent.

I will have to say...............

Both.

I have Strats of each type and they both have their merits but no drawbacks so I'd give them a tie score.

I have both. Two rosewoods and one maple. I like each but would have to say I prefer the maple.

Wasn't this topic banned due to repetitive ad-nausem?

Here's a thought: Who would prefer a rosewood neck with a maple fingerboard?

I prefer Pau Ferro or Koa, they are more fun to say.
