hahaha yeah its an amazing axe, but word of caution check the serial number out with fender first and check for a COA if you arent buying it new from fender or from a reputable store. dont pay 2 grand for something worth 200, its an awesome guitar and the story checks out witht the maple neck but be 100% about it

thanx for th etip. the store is a reputable one (too bad it has to close by the end of this year, ebven though it means they sell all their stuff for 50%!!!), and the guitar would be worth the money even if it was a fake.
however: I might just check with fender. where do I do that? whats a COA?

go to the store get the serial number off the headstock or back of the guitar i beleive the 62's serial number should be on the back plate (not possitive look for it though its easy to find) and call or email fender to check it out and COA is certificate of authenticity
