I have asked this before, but was hoping for a more difinitive answer: Is it possible that a left handed Strat (American Standard) could have been produced at the factory in Corona and shipped with a right handed neck (not a reverse headstock)?

It's highly doubtful. Everything is inspected as it moves from station to station in production and the likelyhood of a mistake like that getting through is slim to none.

If they did, that is exactly what you would have, a reversed headstock and a nut that needs to be replaced.
