does anyone know the exact size of the frets on an american deluxe HSS
probably an '06...they claim to be medium jumbos, however the warmoth site indicates that their "true jumbo" is the size on contemporary strats

thnx a bunch

I dont see what Warmoth has to do with Fender's frets.

Its medium jumbos on a deluxe and pretty much everything aside from highway ones and vintage reissues.

Well Mike all of that certainly makes a lot of sense to me. Yes its very likely that Fender have their own inhouse wire and name it as they see fit. Lets face a fact here, a company of FMIC's magnitude would defiantely benefit from producing everything. When they outsource pickups they make a fuss about it. Even Schaller have to F brand the tuners. In that case its kind of like a peace treaty, "yeah we cant make tuners any better than yours. So we'll use yours and give you our gargantuan custom as long as you make em look like we made em".

What I really want to know is, who can feel the difference between warmoth medJ's and fender medJ's? I've never played a warmoth so wouldnt have a clue. Is it just another Eric Johnson like niggle?

Well Mike the contributions you've made to this forum have always left me a bit clever'er. So if you got a smile consider it part of a debt owed. OK
