Hey people....I am about to buy a HWY 1 Strat SSS.
I am going to convert it to HSS format with the addition of a new pickguard.
I already have 6 HWY 1 Strats in the HSS format from the factory.

My question:
This is the 1st HWY1 SSS I've ever bought. Are they all routed to accept a bridge humbucker?I'd hate to buy the damned thing and have to hack it up for a 'bucker.

What does "THE SAME" mean? Does it mean that there is routing for a humbucker at the bridge position? :? :?

yes, im not sure i HSH or SSH, but either way humbucker fits in the bridge.
some else on this forum turned their sss hwy 1 into a SSH.

what i meant was the body of a hwy 1 are routed with the same configuration. they are interchangable.

hey hwy1,

really digging the daphne blue....

let me know how the Dimarzio 36th Anniv. P.A.F. sound.
im toying with the idea of putting a humbucker in the am strat or hwy 1.

you know, you may be surprised with the bridge single coil on the hwy 1.

really sweet looking guitar, congrats..

This was part of my quandry.....Fender discontinued this finish about a year and a half ago.
Even my E-Bay searches were in vain!
I was fortunate to find this baby.....my Highway One Empire is now complete!

Congrats on finding the missing color. Love it. Can't wait to see it after the modification.
