That's a sweet Jag Audiodrome is that the original neck and/or Fender logo ? The logo on yours appears much darker than the logo on my 65, maybe it's just the lighting or camera angle.

My 2006 H1 Strat (rosewood board), with locking tuners and CS '69 pickups, is the best guitar I've ever played.

My friend's '71 Strat (with YJM's, but all original apart from that) with rosewood fretboard is the second best I've played.

My brother's 1988 Jackson/Charvel is in third place.

My other friend's Lead 2 (heavily modified, with DiMarzio humbuckers) with a maple board, is in fourth place (I pretty much learned how to play on that guitar).

The absolutely finest guitars I have played include the Strat Ultra and my Gibson ES-347.

The Strat Ultra has Lace Sensors in a HSS arrangement, and they are the quietest pickups outside of humbuckers. Since I love smooth jazz, R&B, gospel, and blues, this one piece can do it all. If I need a twang, it nails it smoother than my Telecaster. Other nice features include locking tuners, ebony board, and tremsetter with a two point tremelo. And in a rare Fire Storm finish it still looks good. Because of the locking tuners no string trees are used. There is a Wilkinson nut, the same still used on Jeff Beck's stage model.

The other great one is my ES-347, a higher end ES-335. All semi-hollow guitars are made of laminated maple and a solid wood block. The biggest difference is the Dirty Fingers ceramic pickups vs the '57PAF's found on the 335's. These things are so ridiculous because at low volumes it gives an old jazzbox sound and at high volumes it's a blues screamer, like a LP. It really doesn't lose its clarity at any volume yet it is overdriven and full. With the coil-tap it can go into single coil mode, & give you decent twang. The ebony board and hardware similar to BB's Lucille make it both a satisfying guitar to play and hear. I think the action is second to none, followed by the Ultra. If the guitar didn't have f-holes it would be Lucille. It has more binding on it than a book. Mine was made in 1990, when they changed the nut from metal to acrylic and moved the selector switch to the area next to the pickguard, instead of the lower bout. I think they stopped making these in 1992.

My Jag is Olympic White with a matching headstock but you probably couldn't see that in the first picture. Here it is up close and you can see that it's the same age as the rest of guitar. Everything is original except for one tuning peg and one bridge saddle. I also removed the string mute and added the buzz stop.

My musical collaborator's Yamaha SG2000S is the best feeling elec guitar I've ever had in my hands. Not the best sounding, but to feel it and play it - it's like butter..

I wish this neck and action of my old Yamaha SG 2000 could be transplanted to another guitar, it is breathtaking. I wonder if a pickup change to '57 PAF's could be done?

Anyone know?
