I have been given the chance to have a chat with Rene Martinez before John's show in march, so I may end up a roadie! Lol who knows. I know every instrument, effect, amp and strap he has used since 2004!

Chandler,

Any chance you can hook me up with your inside sources. I'd love to talk to Rene when I go to see JM in Vancouver in April. Or even if you could find me some backstage passes.

What are you plans for your TBO Replica, when you get the CS Relic?

Sorry to thread jack, I haven't had a chance to play the Cypress Mica model, just the Standard Sig. I also love the chinky neck.

GregB777,

Are you asking because you have the chance to get one?

actually, man, lol this time I didn't have an inside source. I had sent him an email about a month ago, and he replied recently.

plans for if I obtain one? play the hell outa it! lol I'm not the kind of guy who collects to collect (though I may seem like it), I collect to play!

Well that just seems all too simple to me. Email someone and they reply. Hmm...

No, I meant your existing TBO Replica, the one you already have. I understand that you will play the hell out of that CS Relic, and probably put a little more relicing of your own on it.

It will be interesting to see your two guitars side by side.

Does anybody know the going rate for one of the Cypress Mica Strats? And all the case candy that accompanies it. I don't really care for the case candy, but I suppose that it helps with collectibility.

oooh! Lol I gotcha, mate. It will be kinda intersting to see how they compare. I'm planning on selling it after I get the replica.

I just checked out this years gear price list, and the cypress mica goes between 12-1800 with incase. There's one on the bay as we speak, actually!

I found one in my local store but the guy selling it wanted to keep his gig bag. I think I'm gonna buy it, but the gig bag is pretty important to me...so:

To anyone who owns the Cypress Mica JM Strat, (especially Chandler because I recall seeing that you prefer to transport your guitars in hardshell/flight cases) would you be willing to sell me your INCSvsJM gig bag? I'd be willing to pay a pretty penny, and I'd even buy one of the not LE gig bags on eBay and include that

Me? It was $1299 IIRC, but if you're about to sell yours to GC they won't give you that much because they have to make a profit, and I'll buy your gig bag if you have it! I'll pay waaaaaay better than GC will!!

I'd love to buy one just to turn around and sell if for a profit to one of the bigtime Mayer Zombies.

So I just recieved the s/n for my Cypress Mica Strat and it's SE04856.

Chanman, I saw on another forum that you said the last 3 digits are its number out of 500, but obviously I can't have # 856/500...

So, what's up here??

You can't tell from the serial number what number yours is sequentially. I have one too and it doesn't fit 1/500. By the way welcome the club. Sucks you had to pay that much though. I got mine for around 1500 :)

Alright. And thanks! Yeah, I would've preferred to pay less, but I've been wanting one of these for so long it's worth it, especially because the guitars' in mint condition. Say, did you get yours on eBay around a month ago? I was about to buy that one but someone else did about 30 minutes before I was able to buy it...

Naw I bought mine new back in 2007, and mine is anything but mint :P. I have played mine heavily over three years. Its got a few nicks, scraps, dents, buckle rash, the hardware is starting to oxidize a bit, a little rust on the pickups, and my dog chewed threw one of the straps on the case. I bought mine to play and not to collect, although I wouldn't mine getting another one to keep pristine. One of the best Strats I have ever played.

also did you buy a 1982 Bullet from me on Strat talk?
