Moore used a DSL as soon as they were released. He was one of the first on. If you look at the amp on the vid it looks like it says JCM2000. JTM45's dont have that bold lettering on the control panel or anywhere near as many knobs. They have 4 inputs usualy 2 of them are jumper cabled.

I could be very wrong about the dod. It sounds a little like it to me. It could be any overdrive pedal though, their all pretty much the same. The amp is the main thing I hear in that clip.

I think you all miss read my post i was being sarcastic when i said his website says this is his rig..
59 Les Paul
Marshall Guv'nor
Marshall JTM45
Vintage Marshall 4x12
Because it sure IS NOT what he is playing here.

I would also believe he is using a JCM800 on this video for two reasons one Niki already stated number two i use the same exact rig..

Although i love my JCM800 i .would still like it to magically turn into a vintage JTM45

As far as the guitar wasn't someone on a previous thread asking what type of guitar is this in the same tangerine color as that one?

What are you referring to DSL?What does those initials stand for? Also i'm not up to date with the newer amps ..But is the Marshall JCM2000 the newer model JCM800 people have been talking about?

Dude...let me offer my most sincere apologies. You are right...I never got to that last line where you said "But that sure isn't a Les Paul he is using in that performance..So i guess that didn't help much". I guess I'm just in one of those moods this morn...saw the stuff about the LP and the JTM 45 and went off on a sarcastic streak. My mistake...I screwed up...I'll have my wife give me a good thwack on the back of the head for ya later when she get's home 8).

Seriously...I'm sorry.

As far as the question about the guitar in a previous thread...no idea there. I don't really browse all of the threads (and I don't always read every response on the threads I do read) so I really have no idea.

Peace,
Jim

I could be wrong but I think what he means is this;

http://www.marshallamps.com/product_ran ... tRangeId=6

(I was wondering about DSL myself...thought that meant an internet connection or something, LOL!!! Ok...yea...definitely in a sarcastic mood this morning...).

Ok...I'm certainly no Marshall expert...don't really care for them myself but from what I can see, the DSL's are the latest in the JCM 2000 line up from Marshall...although whether or not there were JCM 2000's before the DSL's I have no idea. I am however going to stick by my original guess of a JCM 800/900 though based on the number of knobs...looking at Marshall's site, it looks like those JCM 2000/DSL's have 10 knobs (the heads at least) and after watching the video again, it still looks like the one Moore is playing only has 8.

Don't worry about the previous sarcastic post i never take things personal..

We are all human and miss read things and make mistakes..

I really have to agree ..With the JCM 800..I use a JCM 800 with either a Ibanez TS9DX or a Dunlop JH-2S ,Big muff pi ..

AS far as what effect it is in front i think we can be certain there is some effect there ..

But it mostly sounds like a pushed Marshall amp no matter what model..

The guitar is what im more interested in the pick guard and pups have a vintage cream tint i think ..But i don't recall a vintage RI in Tangerine.

With that said i'm almost certain not to long ago some one posted a thread asking about a RI in Tangerine orange but i can't find the post..

No a marshall dual super lead. Part of the JCM2000 range along with the flagship triple super lead amps.

The DSL's are quite similar to the JCM800 2210 circuit. Not neccesarily because of components, but the sounds are similar. They have that nice 70's rock sounding middle range.
Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake was also a staunch user of them. He now uses the Vintage Modern range.

Thanks for the input gents. I for one can't help but pick up my guitar when I hear that song. So it looks like I need to get a marshal amp.
