Bought a PRS that is suppose to be loaded with Fender Strat pups & wiring.
Just wondering if anyone knows what these might be? The pots are CTS 250K & the switch says "Made In The USA" on it.

It's hard to say what the pickups are. Those plastic bobbins, marked 016730, have been used on a lot of pickups on different models for going on 30 yrs. That said, they don't look like the stock American Standard pickups because the bridge pickup doesn't have the two big black screws in the bottom.

Nor do these pickups' leads have the color coding of an American Strat set. I am inclined to believe that they are either a, "mix and match" US set or a stock MIM set. My money would be on the latter.

Well I honestly don't think they sound like stock MIM pups but it could be because of the different body wood. Then also that would leave the seller to be a liar also as he stated that all the wiring and such came from the same strat and I know MIM's are coming with made in the USA wiring?
They really have a twang to them, more than any MIM I have heard and are kind of quiet/maybe noiseless?

They may be Classic 50s, 60s, Tex Mex (but the color code is wrong) or who knows?. All these are slightly underwound, hence, the quiet and the twang. Clearly, they are not the Noiseless.

You might be thinking of the sound of MIM ceramic pups. The alnico pups sound just fine! And I believe the pots are the same in MIM and MIA guitars: made in Mexico too.

Very likely as they too are MIMs with the usual black/white color coding.
