Josu-another Kiwi displayed the new american specials and they show those polarizing head pieces- I'm not a fan of the larger than life examples- seen on other models as well ,in fact , I really like the tele head stock shape better than my MIA standard.
As a slight difference ,I have the black noiseless pups and graphite coloured tuners (gotohs) and similar coloured metal work- the only bright work is the whammy bar with all white scratch plate and knobs

Now I see that the Am Specials have also the greasebucket tone circuit as the H1 did so I think there's no doubt about what It is. But for the price looks like a interesting guitar anyway.

Where did you guys find these?
Can't find any American Specials on the site, nor anything about the Jim Root Strat.

I found It in Thomann, that's the biggest european store I know (is in Germany) but nowhere else for the moment. I imagine that It will be everywhere once the NAMM is over.

I know Thomann, I am in Romania and used them before.
You must be right, there was some talk last year about that JR Strat, but no release date. Probably Thomann just jumped a bit ahead.
They also have other cool stuff, like the Ritchie Kotzen Tele (haven't seen the RK Strat though) that aren't available in other territories.
Are there any American series per se? I thought the name got morphed into American Standard, but I may be wrong.

I really don´t like the "white" headstocks. It´s not fair that only Vintage reissues have vintage color in the headstock (that´s why i made myself a custom rig).

For those interested the fender website is now listing new guitars for 2010. I don't know if these are ALL or SOME of the new models for this year.
The Strat section only showed the ones that were previously talked about here: the Smerican Specials and Jim Roots.
