hey

I just got my first fender

An american stratocaster 50th year aniversary.

I got a couple of questions:

Do aniversary ones have anything special other than the stamp and the certificate ? i mean, do they sound better ?, worth more money ?, easier to resell ?, gain more value ?, come in unique color ?...
Anything special i should know about ?

I got this fender because some guy needed money, so i got it for 200 bucks less than retail price... so i paid about 900 bucks for it.
But the color isn't really the color i wanted.
I've looked on Fender website and they don't seem to carry the color i want.

Actually they do, but what i want is a mix of two model.
So i was thinking that maybe i should get a costum made fender from the company. is it possible ?

How exactly do i get the Fender i really want in the color i want without paying twice the price ?

Do i have to send them an email ?

The color i want is kinda easy to make. it consists of two models they already produce. All they have to do is the put this Neck, those pickups and guard, that color tone and thats it. They already make the parts in the color i want, they just don't put them together the way i want in the color i want.

what do i do ?

Should i keep the 50th aniversary ? and get another ? i don't want to modify my 50th aniversary. i don't want my fender to lose its value.

Any suggestions guys ?

well for one u probably could get a custom made fender but the price is going to higher. obviously. but if u really dont like the color on the strat u have now then more power to ya. but i would keep it just cuz it is an annversity guitar and i dont know if they value more or anything but im assuming they do. in my opinion its not the color but the way it rocks!
good luck! :)
