Did anyone see the Idiot SELLING a Genuine Fender "Made in U.S.A.", "Original Contour Body", Headstock Decal, it looked so REAL that I could NOT believe it. Idiots like this should be arrested. Well, guess that's just my opinion, and we all know what opinions are like, LOL  . It just pissed me off so much :x , I had to call FENDER, and report it, hope I did the right thing,?. Well, I got a "THANK YOU" from FENDER, and within minutes, the Listing was REMOVED :o . To ALL who purchase Fender Parts on Ebay: CAUTION !!!!, I'm NOT saying that all Sellers are FRAUDS, it's just the few "NUMBNUTS" that you have to watch out for. Well, Thank You for allowing me to VENT, and to ALL ........... "ROCK ON DUDES & DUDETTES".

Yeah your right to report it. We pay good money for our instruments that legitimately bare that name. Why should we let our fine instruments be devalued and succumb to ever increasing levels of scrutiny because some con artist wants to make a quick quid.

This is kind of a sucky situation for a guy wanting to restore his own Fender product. Think Fender would come off a decal for a repairman trying to legitimately restore a guitar for himself or a customer? These type of things are not available through normal channels for a good reason; to eliminate fraudulent relogoing. Does selling one or two decals to a person who needs one to complete a restoration constitute global piracy on FMIC? Probably not. I am not condoning the seller's actions, nor am I condemming them. Why would you go buy a repro neck from a place like Stratosphere when you could replace the decal on your own neck as a finishing touch? I tend to think that Fender should control the sale of such items so they can serve the resto market as well as cut down on counterfeiting.

Dude, Do you understand what Copyright Infringement is,?. What's next FAKE Serial Number Decal's, to hide the fact that the Axe could be STOLEN,?. How about the Fact, that there are NUMBNUTZ out there that would replace the Made in Mexico decal, with a Made in U.S.A. decal, so as to get TWICE what it's (or more). And to say that STRATOSPHERE sells reproduction Fender merchandise, Matt and his wife are VERY HONEST Sellers on Ebay, I've bought MANY, MANY, Items from them, and NEVER had ANY problems, guess that's why they are Rated as "Top Seller's" on Ebay with well over 100,000 Satisfied Customers, what a RUDE comment to make about someone. Sad to see there are people out there, who think that there is NOTHING WRONG with COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT. Hey dude,
I have a FERRARI for sale if your interested, it just looks like a KIA, but the LOGO'S all say FERRARI, LOL :o. "ROCK ON ANYWAY"

Fender will supply a replacement decal if you can prove you have a legitimate claim for one. Contact customer service and they will tell you what needs to be done to get one. a decal from anywhere else is not legit.

You can get a logo through Fender for a legitimate body and neck. All you have to do is satisfy them that its kosha.

Is it possible to get a replacement decal for my old Fender instrument?

In many cases, the answer is "YES!" To help us achieve the best match of available decals, take at least 4 clear photographs of your instrument, (the entire front, entire back of the instrument and a close-up of the front and back of the headstock). This will help us verify that it is indeed a genuine Fender product in need of a replacement decal, (if the instrument has the serial number stamped into the neck plate, please include a pencil "rubbing" from the neck plate showing this number).

Next, take the photos along with your guitar to the nearest Authorized Fender Service Center, where they will evaluate the instrument. After comparing the instrument with the photos, they will then mail the photos and neck plate rubbing to our Product Support team in Scottsdale. Once we receive the photographs, we will try to find the most accurate decal for that instrument. We will then send the appropriate decal to the Authorized Service Center. Note: Decal availability is limited to certain models, and while Fender does not charge a fee for a replacement decal, the Fender Authorized Service Center may charge a fee for providing this service to you.[/url]
