Hi guys/gals.
I was wondering about Highway 1 finish and how it compares to other Fender guitars that are nitro finished... i.e.;
Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish vs Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish.
I really like the nitro finish on guitars, so HW1 having a nitro finish is a big plus in my eyes, was just wondering whether its gonna wear with time (and look cool 8) ) in the same manner as "regular" nitro...

Thanks!

Thanks mate for pointing me to right place 8) .
Sorry for spamming unnecessarily :| .

The thread has all answers I was looking for...

I have Fender Standard Mex, but I dislike the poly finish.
I think I'll get HW1 so far it satisfies my taste (finish+other specs)... I had one in my hands in the store (sunburst) but unluckily I haven't plugged it in to listen  .
I'll rectify it soon 8) . And if all goes well I'm gonna get myself one of these babies, hopefully in that discontinued bluish color (2007?)... 8)

Thanks 8) .
I'll search a bit on domestic market second-hand first... as new in store they sell for 780-820 euros here for cash, that is approx $1170-1230.

Thanks mate, I also think that thomann.de is a good suggestion, some guys overhere regard it as trustworthy online (and not only online :) ) shop, as they purchased some guitars, amps 'n other stuff from there and it went as smooth as silk 8) .

Just checking in to say that in a way, I haven't disappointed you  .
I ran across this nice SG Special and I traded my MiM Standard for it and added the rest of the price in cash...

But although this SG is a premium axe I will STILL look for a Strat as I'm quite addicted to it... and HW1 is high on my fav Strat list 8) .

BTW Marry XMas to everyone :) .

Thanks 8) .

I don't have that MiM Std anymore, however yesterday I acquired CP60s (sonic blue) - it is fine guitar, I believe me and her will nicely get along :) .
It'll make a good company to my SG Special too.

A little update on my initial thoughts... I've tried HW1, RW60s... got some experience both in reading and trying stuff and I've changed my mind.
I don't sought after nitro any more.
Anyhow back onto main subject, this guitar has a real strat tone, really nice.
