I like both guitars though I dont like to buy any guitars that have issues with the neck I dont care how minor . Keep looking as they were both nice Strats. The Plus Ultra series still mystifies me as you dont see all that many and when you do the price is always decent, though most of the time they have been moded. But the Strat Ultra which at one time was Fenders top shelf guitar and a damn good one to boot is a bit of an enigma as maybe 2 pop up every now and then on ebay. I think everyone is hiding them under there bed.

Well, I ended up buying a 2005 Eric Clapton strat and a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue amp. Seemed like a pretty good deal, paid $1000 total.
