that's wise.

Think about this: Do you always play with a capo on the 1st fret? If you capo the 1st fret to set the string height at the 17th fret, when you take the capo off to play it, the string height at the 17th fret won't be what you think it is! It'll increase a bit. Not much, admittedly.
