Their as light as a feather mate. The body is fibreglass. That one is currently up for sale at £2K.
We could probably sail it across the ocean to you. I reckon it will float. Never saw hollow plastic sink before.

We could even throw you a couple of fancy dress costumes in the back.

Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney/Robin) is excellent in this clip.

How about using it as a ferry for tourists? Take them on a ride down the bayou, serve them some Gumbo. Might be a money maker. :)

C, thanks for the suggestion about the battery box. I doubt that I can provide the level of entertainment and detail that you can but I will take a look in the shop for a body that can use another battery box and see about taking some shots to pass along.

I just finished an Olympic White SRV, assembled with a 62 Nitro RI body, SRV neck, SRV pickguard (scratch plate for our friends on the other side of the pond) and Seymour Duncan Lipstick pups with a Blender pot assembly. Auction ended on Sunday and received the email on Tuesday that the winner could not make the purchase because of "personal emergency". Oh well, it's back on the blocks again.

I'm now finishing up a Hendrix Monterey Tribute Strat, (#3) that hopefully will be ready to list by the end of the weekend. THEN hopefully I can start the next project and putting one with the battery box will be in order. In the mean time, here's my commercial break with a few shots of the two aforementioned Strat's. (The Monty shown is #2)

I like the SRV but would rather see the trem bar at the top of the bridge. I bet its a beast all the same! Nice work on both.

As non-Ebay-user, I have to ask, does anything happen to such a deadbeat bidder/buyer? Any kind of penalty?

Beautiful guitars, by the way. Suggestion: for the next SRV, how about his "Yellow" one?

In this case the buyer was a wife buying the guitar for her SRV loving husband. A "family emergency" came up and the money would have to go there, but the husband was very dissappointed.

I've been down this road before. The buyer seemed sincere especially after they asked to not give them negative feedback. In return they would pay my fees for backing out on the sale. They said they would cover those fees by Tuesday. I guess we'll see. But I wanted to get this done and relisted so I just sent in a request to eBay to cancel the transaction, the buyer agrees and then I relist. So the only impact a buyer would have is if the seller would give them negative feedback, which you really don't want to have. I have over 400 transactions at 100% positive and I work hard to keep it that way, especially with selling guitars, you want people to trust what you are saying.

Re; the yellow one, I think you are talking about "butter" which is like a butterscotch color. He also had once he called "scotch" so I need to get my SRV's correct. I have an anniversary MIM Strat in that butterscotch color. That color doesn't seem to be so available. But when I bought her she had Texas Specials and for a few hundred US, it's one of my better sounding Strat's. That is a good idea though. I may have to put one of those together for a change of pace. It's that funky Vintage Gibson zebra stripe pickguard that's the problem to match.

FYI: Great talent out there, but suggest you contact Brad and have him give you all personal email exchanges so you can work this off Forum. There are issues about merchandising I am given to understand.

Sorry guys, certainly not my intention to be marketing here on this thread. I've updated my profile to allow emails directly. (I didn't know that it wasn't showing up) Thanks for the heads up.
