Try not to get too impatient, everyone. Look at what all this stress is doing to poor Ceri:

While the paint is drying, why not take the time to check out his first build thread? If you've never seen it before, it's very interesting and entertaining too. And even if you've already seen it, it's still worth another look:

Gosh, this is like watching lacquer drying.....

Hi Chicagoblue - well, you could always launch a thread to amuse us with some of your own work, why not? Do us a quick battery box installation to pass the time - that'll give all the folks who discuss where to squeeze a battery into their spring or control cavity some food for thought.

And thank you to RussianRacehorse! :D

'Fraid the truth is, a fella sometimes has to work at his day job to earn some money for meals and expensive guitar hardware. Been amazingly busy recently, and I still am. Hardly a spare moment to call my own... :(

I do hope to have one more entertaining twist to this thread before it finishes - but there's no point starting that till I have time to take it all the way through.

I've kinda noticed how people hate having their entertainment interrupted...!

...Anyhow. We are indeed watching lacquer dry. Making guitars is like that sometimes. Don't worry, I'll dig this thread out of the bottom mud soon as there's more hammering and sawing to show.

Cheers all - C

In practice few would bother to do any of that because it is a mountain of effort and will cost stupidly much more than just buying a new neck with the features you want.

With all due respect for the amazing job you're doing, I was sort of wondering the same thing you were wondering on the above post.(Even though it's about necks.)

Still, as a wood guy, I gotta say you have really done a sweet job! You somehow seem to know a lot of the tricks it has taken me years to learn. I'd love to know how. Friends? Relatives? Google?

Hi Gridlok! :D

That's going to be meaningless to folks who haven't seen that other thread. But I know what you're talking about!

I think the phrase you might be looking for is hypocrite. Or fool. Or game for a laugh. Or attention seeker. Or can't take his own advice. Or...

Cant resist a challenge, definately.

In your own time sir.

Though expect a knock on the igloo door one night by some windswept, fur clad, haggard brummie looking to play some guitar.

BTW Delboy's van is for sale up here, fancy another do up job?

Awww...MAN.

I started reading this thread (seeing it had 58 pages) figuring: Nice! I get to see the rebuild A to Z without having to wait.... only to finally get to page 58 after three days of readiong at work to find, its STILL not over yet.

Ah, well - quality cant be rushed, right Ceri? Keep up the amazing work! It seems I've now joined the masses that had started watching the thread at Day One and eagerly await the next chapter...

Cheers!

Their as light as a feather mate. The body is fibreglass. That one is currently up for sale at £2K.
We could probably sail it across the ocean to you. I reckon it will float. Never saw hollow plastic sink before.

We could even throw you a couple of fancy dress costumes in the back.

Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney/Robin) is excellent in this clip.
