Well thank you very much! And to share in it a little further, when the plate is finished in a couple of days just drop me a line somewhere with a note of a convenient address and I'll pop it in the post to you.

Frankly, this zinc plate I had handy is a little thinner than a regular neckplate, so I'm not sure you really would want to put it on a guitar. Though if you do you might want to seat it in one of those plastic neckplate cushions - like this:

Otherwise - just an amusing trinket to go with your Phoenix coins. Why not?

Cheers - C

I'll figure some way to get it on my red strat. It will look incredible! :o

And it just so happens I have an extra coin so that I can return the favor! 8)

Ceri - How do you know this stuff? :)

I'm a chemist, so I can follow the etching bit. I just don't know how you can do the woodworking, you can visit the niftiest pigment shop I've ever seen and know what you're looking for, etching, dying, etc. Even quite a knowledge of spritis! Quite a renaissance man!

Ceri,at first I thought you were a Jack of all trades but you've demonstrated it quite clearly to us that you are a master of all trades.

Hi Doc: last time I handled nitroglycerine I was shoving it under my dad's tongue while waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Embarrassingly, he was feeling much better by the time the paramedics walked in. I suspect you know what I'm talking about...

Just amazing what you pick up standing at a bar, isn't it...?

And to everyone else - thank you! As so often!! :D

Normal service shall be resumed later in the week. Let's see if I can come up with just one or two more plot developments before this thread finishes...

Cheers - C

I don't know if it has been outright said before but even if it has, it merits being said again:

Ceri, you are truly a genius, a master craftsman, an outstanding teacher and an all around great guy. I tip my hat to you and if I ever get to England, I would be honored to buy you a drink!
