As I no longer wish to miss all the talk of guitars and booze I seem to have learned that in order to not miss any email updates to this thread, one must come back to the site and log back on.

I've been leaving the page up and running but lately my desktop has been run over, by all things, work related stuff. Noting in my overun brain that I hadn't had a Ceri fix in a while I went back and logged on and lo and behold. my email updates began to arrive once again.

I'm sure you all probably know this, but I did read of a few others who relayed a similar problem so I thought I would share while there was a break in the action. Consider it another commercial, since our photography tips has run its course.

It's even more entertaining to come back to the thread after not reading for a few days to see what has been happening. To read the details about making your won pigment from powder, just floored me to the point I can take that off my own bucket list. That's just crazy cool. Glad to have been reading it from the start. (Cuz it will take hours to catch up now)

I'm sure everyone feels the same but thanks Ceri, for continuing to educate, entertain, amuse us all.

Jaw dropping isn't it. I said before I feel he's given us all a sense of inner comfort. No matter how bad we make it, some relentless Brit can fix it.

Now I just feel privileged to share a small island with him. No matter how bad it gets here (it ain't that bad i'm a whiner) I'm comforted that Ceri's here too. He's inspiring patriotism in the most unpatriotic person ever.

Off to salute the flag now.

Ceri were you out in northern Italy in late 2001? Quite a scary place.

Ennit just.

Lets all photograph bodyparts and plaster them all over the internet.

Still saluting the left/right arm/leg flag sir.

Got my pumice at the ready, infact my feet are gleaming. All we need now is for Siamese to make a comment about how off topic were going.

I'm relieved that you came out of that one quickly. I was about to ask you if you knew what to do with the Charmin. :?

Johnny is that a bit of blistering to the right of the main area of damage?

It looks to me like you'd need to clean the area up a bit. Get rid of any blistering thats on there then perform a drop fill repair.

There's plenty written about it, but this is a great starting point.
http://www.stewmac.com/tradesecrets/ts0040_lacquerfill.hzml

The writer of that page will sell you everything you need too.

By no means attempt this on purely my say so. Guitar finish's are not a area that I'm comfortable with. Wait for someone else to chime in. They'll likely want more pictures.
