Ceri,

Thanks for sharing. This was so great to follow. I'm amazed at the level of detail and care you put into every single aspect of this build. I looked forward to every installment. The added drama of having to wait for the pictures was unbearable...

My girlfriend said it best though when she told me, "Now that Ceri is finished, you'll have to find something else to be obsessed with!"

Ceri,
Well, I have waited long and patiently to write on this forum. Now is the time for my post. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. First, thank you for taking on this project. Second thank you for taking the added time to share it with us. I cannot imaging how much time was added to this venture just snapping pictures (how many I DON'T want to know), weeding through them to find the proper shots to post here and uploading pictures. The last thank you is for your commitment to this project and to us on this forum. I know many of us waited many hours for those "new pictures" every day. Through all the setbacks and trips away from home for work...you stuck with it. Your commitment here speaks volumes in your finished product. Lastly, Thank you for the knowledge that I have gained here. This thread was a definite learning experience for me. I'm sure what I have learned from you here, will only help me down the road on day. Lastly, I want to tell you to NEVER sell yourself short. You kept saying that you are "no luthier" and "not a professional". I say..B.S. I would trust you ANY day with ANY guitar of mine.
Finally, best of luck to you my friend. You've been an inspiration to me (and many others I'm sure) with this thread. Now, do us all proud one more time and go play your new baby well. You deserve to. She is beautiful ! Thank you !!!

Ceri, you are out standing in your field, and that's no bull. I can't get pasture abilities. You have raised the steaks for the whole flock, and very well done! We all kowtow to your udder brilliance. Till we meat again... 8)

Oh, and the guitar is nice too!

That was puntastic Russian...   Substitute "heard" for "flock" and maybe we can get Ceri to post a sound bite so we can say we "heard" it too...

Thank you so much Ceri.
I know you inspired many of us to try our hand at doing repairs to our guitars. Nothing in the same league as what you have accomplished of course!! But inspiration to not be afraid of it.

I like others have somewhat bittersweet feelings about the end here but I wish you many hours of enjoyment with this guitar. It's really a stunner!
The milky white neck just sets it off beautifully!

All the best.
-T

PS What was the last drink you made? I think the rest of us would like to toast you with the same...if we can find the ingredients.

Miami Mike's words from day 1 of the project. Looks like he called it right.

Beautiful guitar Ceri. Beautiful work. I love to see great talent being used with such joy and generousity.

What would be next? (after a suitable rest of course - so you can reconnect with the rest of the world..) Dare I say.. hollow body? acoustic? a whole new set of skills to develop. As a luthier, you must have thought about it..

ceri,

im truly honored to have followed you and this thread for 5 months.

i wasnt too much into the earvana nuts, but love your design. i wonder if you could probably make some and sell em to a few of us here.
you make everything look so easy.
i may just take on the challenge of building my own nut. however i dont have the simple tools required for the job.

i wonder if valley arts followed this thread and were just in awe with your craftmanship.

its mind blowing how you turned a vision into a beautiful piece of art.

JUST WOW,
ROMES

Okay, two quick questions if I may. What does it say on the headstock and I HAVE to asked (if this was previously asked and I missed it, my apologies) WHAT happened to this poor guitar in the first place to get it into the condition Ceri received it in ?
Thanks

People, people: SO MANY generous remarks. Thank you all so much, I really am knocked out! Honestly, it is the spirit of friendliness and sharing that has made it fun at this end, and that is down to everyone here. Thank you!

And remember: if you enjoyed it half as much as I did - then I enjoyed it twice as much as you.

To BigTufGuy and others: the headstock says "Handmade by -". As far as how this guitar caught fire in the first place - well that's Nikininja's story to tell...

Don't want to single anyone out from such a great crowd, but just to say to russianracehorse - you know how to press my buttons, don't you?

And to Nick (without whom it would never have happened):
