All I can think is the truss rod.

That's pretty much what I thought of...but i thought something to do with the skunk stripe or the neck pocket maybe maybe...that's not fatal...b

Truss Rod sounds like the most likely culprit. Could this be it?

I went back and looked at p.69 and noticed that the threads on the truss rod were embedded in his filler. If this prevents him from turning the nut on the truss rod then Chicago will have to pat his own back... The truss rod recovery tool was my first thought after Niki mentioned the truss rod, but I was distracted by the National Anthem and Purple Haze as played by Mr. Hendrix as Woodstock the movie was playing on VH1 so I may be bit late posting this. Anyway what ever it turns out to be I'm sure Ceri is quite capable of fixing it.

Or I have another sneaking suspicion about the tuners. The 2degree angle of the headstock, are the tuner holes at right angles to that face, or the rear?
Either I suppose could cause a bit of a problem. Have the tuner sitting right on one face and it will be that 2degrees off on the other.

Whether that shows up or not is a different matter.

If it does the only fix I can imagine is to put a reverse of that plane on the rear of the headstock.

Forget that, the back is angled too.

Looks like one ashy sunset too me! We live not real far away from Mt. St. Helens and I remember when it erupted. Ash all over the place. And nine months after that there was a lot of baby's born..... We still have an ash layer out in the forest when you dig down a few inches.

Roger that. After all these years one can still find exposed ash deposits along I-5 between Woodland and Castle Rock, and along the SR's particularly out of Cougar along Yale Lake, Lake Merwin, the Lewis, as well as Cowlitz, and Toutle Rivers, as well as the damage the flood waters caused along these beds.

Oh no, I just had the most horrible thought that you may have put a regular sized screw in the contoured part of the heel.

You know Niki, he loves doing this to us...so do not give him the satisfaction of knowing it is working!!!! Well, maybe he deserves a little satisfaction? :? Cmon! Mr. C!!!!!!

A screw through the fingerboard would suck, but it wouldn't need a special Stew Max Tool to repair. Ceri could grind down some of that wood mix it with some special epoxy that he makes from snake oil and then sand it out like it was never there. Or he used the mistake to create an elaborate inlay of a Phoenix or some crazy sh*t like that.

No, I think its something else. I just wish he would hurry because I'm in a hotel room in Orlando and my air card is slooooow.
