Well this is nearly done now.

Bung a nut in, slap the tuners on, sling the tronics in and the bridge, and it will be finished.

I know I'm going to be in tears when its done.

I know. But guess what - I'm out of town.

I brought the fret dressing pix with me on a memory stick cos I just knew an episode would be required over the weekend. Home midweek, and then as you say we can finish off and say adios to this thread. Ye-e-e-e-ah!!! :D

Then it's someone else's turn - think on that...

Meanwhile. I wanted to see if it is true that all this volcanic ash in the atmosphere really gives a better sunset. This was up on Dartmoor last night:

Meh. Just looks like a sunset to me...

Cheers - C

It's taken a while, but what an amazing read. There really is profound beauty in restoration. Nice work!

Looks like one ashy sunset too me! We live not real far away from Mt. St. Helens and I remember when it erupted. Ash all over the place. And nine months after that there was a lot of baby's born..... We still have an ash layer out in the forest when you dig down a few inches.

Ceri, any chance you will be incorporating that sunset photo onto the Pyrocaster? How appropriate would that be to have the burning sun complete with volcanic ash on the revived Pyrocaster.

Lots of candidates for that one. How about Wishbone Ash's "Phoenix"??

Wishbone Ash's Phoenix is a great idea.Fire and House Burning Down by Jimi would be too obvious(even though I'm a Jimi freak)but Phoenix is one of my all time favourites...great choice TC.

I like Randy1's suggestion on this 'hot' topic.

Burnt guitar, sun, volcanoes.

It's gettin hot in here!

Ceri, are you sure that's the same piece of wood you started off with?!
Where did you buy that neck? What custom shop made it?
Just kidding!
Haven't been here for a while, and now I'm speechless! What a beautiful work, my friend! It could make me, a hard core rosewood guy, into an all maple (I presume it's a maple) advocate!

Don't know what else to say except I wish you played that beautiful instrument for a long, long time!

Cheers!

Goran
